Conflict in Eastern Congo: Update

Many of you will have been following news of the ongoing Rwanda-backed M23 militia invasion in North Kivu, Congo - particularly the tragic violence seen in overtaking control of Goma, the province's capital. Unfortunately, the Ugandan military leader General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has just announced that his country's army may invade Ituri province with a goal of controlling Bunia, where our children's center is situated. Thanks to the support of the CKI community, in the past years we have been able to strengthen the resilience of our center with a self-contained well, wash facilities, and more - however, this crisis will put everyone at risk. We currently support over 100 children, ranging from newborns to 18 years, many with health issues that are difficult to serve under normal conditions.
